American Legion Auxiliary
Due to unforeseen circumstances the agenda has changed for the American Legion Auxiliary’s Jan. 20 general meeting. The initiation ceremony of new members has been postponed to the Feb. 17 general meeting.
Cindy Mayfield will be the guest speaker on Jan. 20. She holds the position of VA representative for District 29, and will explain the needs of the Veterans Affairs (VA) and how members of the American Legion Auxiliary can volunteer for different positions available at the VA. In addition, Bob and Ellen Kablitz of Leisure World will speak on their experiences and treatment at the VA, and their positive outcome.
Tickets for the Annual Fashion Show on March 8 are still available for purchase by calling Jean Sudbeck at 562594-0209. They will also be available for pick up at the bingo games in Clubhouse 2 at 1 p.m. every Sunday through February.
Non-members are always welcome at the general meetings, which begin at 1 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1.
Refreshments will follow the meeting.
