Seniors for Peace Club to hold talk on fascism in America today

The Seniors For Peace Club will meet at 2 p.m. today, April 3, in Clubhouse 4 for a conversation between Dr. Rich Haesly, associate professor of political science at CSULB, and club President Jeff Mulqueen titled “American Fascism at Home and Abroad.”
Haesly and Mulqueen will explore, among other issues, what fascism is and its current manifestations here and abroad; how it divides society into “us” and “them” and promotes antidemocratic attitudes; and how best to fight and resist it. The audience will be invited to join in the conversation.
Seniors For Peace invites all residents to join the peaceful protest in front of the LW globe on Saturday, April 5, from 3-4:30 p.m. in support of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
All LW residents and their guests are invited to attend. For more information about the club and its upcoming events, call Pat Kruger at 562-357-4040.
