Club elects new leaders; will discuss vision in January
ART LEAGUE
At the Dec. 2 LW Art League Board of Directors meeting, the club approved a reorganization of officers effective January 2025. Elected as the new vice president is Ramayana (RB) Baba and Marion Higgins as the new treasurer.
Higgins will succeed Art Salazar who is retiring after many years as treasurer of the Art League.
Susie Ralston, who has on several occasions expressed her desire to step down as president, will remain president but with reduced duties.
Most of the president’s operational and executive duties and responsibilities will now be assumed by the incoming vice president.
Baba and Higgins, who are currently chair of membership and shows respectively, will temporarily continue their chair positions until their replacements are selected.
New vice president Baba has indicated to the board his plan and vision for the Art League in 2025. To be able to execute his plan and vision, he needs members to volunteer their minds and time in this endeavor. The next Art League membership meeting is Jan. 14. This meeting will purely be a social meeting with no competition. RB will discuss his plan and vision and seek input from the members. All members are encouraged to attend this important meeting.
