Bookstore hours extended on Wednesdays
FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
The Friends of the Library Bookstore will have extended hours each Wednesday in December, closing at 5:30 p.m. to conform to the LW Library and better serve its visitors.
The Bookstore has special prices on select holiday cards, priced at 10 cents per card with envelopes. Many different styles are available, including some with religious themes and others with more general good wishes. Some sets are also available at reduced rates—check with the volunteer at the desk for the discounted prices. Getting organized to send cards is a task often for “tomorrow” but shopping ahead jump starts the process and also brings the best choices of cards.
Boutique items fill the store and change regularly under the creative hands of the Boutique Committee. People are encouraged to visit regularly when looking for special gifts or decorative items. Generous donors keep filling the Bookstore’s coffers so the shopping choices are amazing and variable.
Readers may appreciate gently used book of mysteries or detective stories or romance. For children, the Bookstore has books, DVDs and puzzles of all kinds. A special cart on the patio contains the store’s holiday books on cooking, crafts, music as well as fiction.
