LW Korean Community Church
Leisure World Korean Community Church (LWKCC) recently held a Thanksgiving program as the start of its holiday season celebration.
Head Pastor Rev. Dr. Jang Young Yong presented a message about Thanksgiving. The choir sang “Praise Jerusalem.” The choir is led by its conductor, Pastor Kim Gyu-sam, Deacon Kim Min-jeong as the accompanist and soloist Kim Su-ji.
After the service, the church enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner with abundant food.
After the dinner, the church held its family presentation festival, creating a festive atmosphere with performances by 12 teams. The event was judged by Pastor Kim Gwang-jin.
The eighth team won first place and bragging rights. The title of the performance was “It Was Nice to See You.” Hong Jeong-eun, was the team leader and Park Seong-ja and Lim Gyeong-sun were the vice leaders.
Missionary Heo Bong-rang spoke to the congregation Dec. 7 and 8 about her work. LWKCC’s Sunday services are held at the sanctuary every week at 11:50 a.m., and a morning prayer meeting led by the senior pastor is held every Tuesday through Saturday at 6 a.m.
Breakfast is served after the morning service every Saturday, in the fellowship room.
