Meals on Wheels Orange County
Meals on Wheels Orange County remains open at its temporary location at OCFA Fire Station No. 48, 3131 North Gate Road, Seal Beach. It will remain open Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m.-noon, for anyone 60 or older. Suggested contribution is $3. Guests under 60 can enjoy lunch for $5. Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis and come with 1% milk. LW Minibus service is available for a pick up at 10:25 a.m. at the Amphitheater bus stop on St. Andrews Drive. It returns to the Amphitheater at 11:40 a.m.
Thursday, Oct. 24
Diced chicken breast with Asian sauce, oriental vegetable blend, egg noodles, whole wheat crackers (four), canned peaches and sugar-free pudding.
Friday, Oct. 25
Cubed beef with ranchera sauce, broccoli, Mexican rice, whole grain tortilla and fresh orange.
Monday, Oct. 28
Chicken breast with savory tomato sauce, peas and carrots, brown rice, whole wheat dinner roll with Smart Balance and tropical fruit mix.
Tuesday, Oct. 29
Veggie egg salad on spring mix, California salad, moroccan lentils vegetable soup, whole wheat bread with Smart Balance and fresh orange.
Wednesday, Oct. 30
Beef cheeseburger with swiss cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato and red onion, whole grain hamburger bun, mayonnaise and mustard, fiesta corn and bell pepper salad and pineapple chunks.
