LWers invited to finish October with a Broadway musical show
GRF BUS TRIP
Tickets are on sale to see the the Tony Award-winning “Hadestown” at Segerstrom Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The play won eight 2019 Tony Awards including “Best Musical” as well as a 2020 Grammy Award for “Best Musical Theater Album.”
“Hadestown” intertwines two mythic tales—that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone—inviting viewers on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and singers, “Hadestown” is a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs viewers and never lets go.
The GRF bus departs from the Amphitheater parking lot at 6 p.m. for the 7:30 show.
