LW Woman’s Club

On Oct. 1, the Woman’s Club of Leisure World will meet at 1 p.m. in Clubhouse 2. The organization works throughout the year to raise funds for nursing scholarships at Goldenwest College, and gifts for Leisure World community groups and Seal Beach community organizations. During the meeting, the organization will also review some of their outdated bylaws.

Following the meeting, members and guests will be serenaded by popular singer Tony O’Dell Rogers. Cake, coffee and tea will be served. Suggested additional donations for the college students can be brought to the meeting. These include canned and boxed food supplies that have yet to reach their labeled or stamped expiration date.

Woman’s Club Table Top games will begin again on Friday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. Card and board games may be played by organized groups and newcomers are welcome to join.
