Community Church Community Church

JoinLWCommunityChurch for the annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m.1 p.m. Come see the nativity display and enjoy holiday baked goods, arts and crafts, treasures from Granny’s Attic, and Sandy’s Café will serve lunch.

In many churches around the country, this is the last Sunday, Nov. 24, of the Christian year and is known as “Christ the King Sunday.” The assigned reading is the Gospel of John about Jesus being questioned by Pontius Pilate shortly before his crucifixion. Community Church doesn’t celebrate “Christ the King Sunday” because the Gospel says that Jesus came as truth, rather than as king. Community Church will explore this truth this Sunday. Those who are feeling anxious or uncertain in this time and are looking a safe community, are welcome to see what “the friendly church” is all about. Worship is on Sundays at 9:50 a.m. at 14000 Church Place. Come early for a cup of coffee in the narthex.
