Optum welcomes a new orthopaedist to join the team

LWSB Optum HCC is excited to have the orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Richard Raczka, MD, join its team. Renowned for his comprehensive musculoskeletal care and with decades of experience and a robust educational background, he is dedicated to enhancing patients’ lives through personalized treatment and compassionate care.

Dr. Raczka obtained his bachelor of science in physical therapy from the University of Southern California, followed by a doctor of medicine degree from U. Autonoma Guadalajara School of Medicine. He underwent advanced medical training at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, uniquely positioning him to address orthopaedic patients’ complex needs.

With over 30 years of Orthopedic Board Certification, Dr. Raczka is a recognized leader in his field, holding an emeritus membership in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California School of Medicine, serving as chief resident in 1982.

Dr. Raczka will oversee all ortho consults, injection candidates and surgical candidates. If

deemed necessary, candidates for surgery will be referred to a colleague.

He accepts majority of PPO Plans, Optum Commercial HMO, CalOplans and many local IPA plans.
