Rock ‘n’ roll performance and dance is Saturday, Aug. 17

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL CLUB

The Let The Good Times Roll Club will hold a rock-androll performance and dance on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 2. Doors open at 5:30 and people are invited to bring their favorite snacks and beverages. Dancing will continue until 9:15 p.m.

Songs will include “Under the Boardwalk,” “Kokomo,” “Summer Wine,” “Walk Away Renee,” “Itsy, Bitsy Polka-Dot Bikini,” “Sealed with a Kiss,” “Learning to Fly,” “Summer Song,” “Wonderful World,” “Summer Nights” and more.

Pianist Ben Berg will start the night with Jerry Lee Lewis hits to get the dance floor moving. The Legends of Rock Dance Band led by Jon Pearlstone will finish out the night. Vinny Correnti and Susan Kellegan will play Danny and Sandy in the club’s version of “Summer Nights” from “Grease.”

The club will provide coffee, lemonade, cookies and cups. Residents and their guests are welcome. The performance is free but donations to the club and band support the club’s mission to provide fun evenings of live entertainment for the LW community.

Let the Good Times Roll members will perform at the dance, followed by the Legends of Rock Dance Band.
