Scrabble Club

The Leisure World Scrabble Club met on all five Wednesdays in July. The results of the first two weeks of the month were reported in the July 18 LW Weekly. During the last three weeks, there were 33 scores above 300, including seven higher than 400. There were 27 bingos—i.e. the use of all seven tiles in one move.

Bob Ruderman led with six scores that topped 300, including one of 408. He had nine bingos. Diane Seeger also exceeded 300 six times and posted two bingos. Her best score was 386.

Larry Edgar had five totals higher than 300, the best of which was a 435. He had two bingos.

Jim Schneiderman bettered 300 three times, including one score of 367. He recorded four bingos. Myrna Loscuadro, Wanda Benben, and Maria Giegerich each had two scores above 300. Their best totals were 464, 323, and 320, respectively. Loscuadro and Giegerich each had one bingo.

Marilyn Moody, Sue Ann Gass, and Donna Perkins each had one score higher than 300. Their best scores were 421, 328, and 314, respectively.
