Meals on Wheels Orange County
Meals on Wheels Orange County in partnership with the city of Seal Beach is hosting The Lunch Cafe at the North Seal Beach Center, 3333 St. Cloud Dr., Seal Beach, Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m.-noon. It is open to anyone 60 or older. Suggested contribution is $3. Guests under 60 can enjoy lunch for $5. Meals are served on a first-come, first-served basis and come with 1% milk.
LW Minibus service is available for a pick up at 10:25 a.m. at the Amphitheater bus stop on St. Andrews Drive. It returns to the Amphitheater at 11:40 a.m.
Thursday, Aug. 8
Pork loin with sweet citrus glaze, mixed vegetables, sweet potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll with Smart Balance and mandarin orange.
Friday, Aug. 9
Chicken tamarin, oriental vegetable blend, pineapple fried rice, egg drop soup, whole wheat crakers and canned pears.
Monday, Aug. 12
Tarragon chicken salad with yogurt dressing, broccoli salad, lemony orzo salad, whole wheat dinner roll with Smart Balance and mandarin orange.
Tuesday, Aug. 13
Mexican beef cocido with broth, vegetables, whole grain tortilla, banana and sugar-free pudding.
Wednesday, Aug. 14
Turkey bolognese, Italian vegetable blend, bowtie pasta, parmesan cheese, whole wheat dinner roll and tropical fruit mix.
