Tickets on sale to see ‘The Nutcracker’ on Dec. 12
GRF BUS TRIP
The Recreation Department will take residnets on a bus trip to enjoy a beloved holiday tradition, Tchaikovsky’s ballet, “The Nutcracker,” on Thursday, Dec. 12.
The American Ballet Theater’s “The Nutcracker” at Segerstrom Hall, choreographed by Alexei Ratmansky, is a dazzling holiday treat featuring a roster of superstar dancers and gorgeous sets and costumes by Tony winner Richard Hudson. Pacific Symphony will play Tchaikovsky’s timeless score.
“The Nutcracker” is the tale of a young girl, Clara, who receives the gift of a nutcracker doll at her family’s Christmas party. Later that night, in her dreams the nutcracker doll comes to life as a handsome prince who joins her on a magical journey. Together, they travel to lands filled with dancing snowflakes, waltzing flowers, a mouse army and other exotic characters, all brought to vivid life on stage by a cast of over 100 performers.
This is a great opportunity to get into the holiday spirit with friends, family or neighbors. The bus departs from the Amphitheater parking lot at 5:30 p.m. for the show at 7.
Tickets are $68 per person, which includes the event ticket and bus transportation. Tickets may be purchased at the Recreation Office, located in the lower level of Building 5 or online at https:// www.lwsb.com/special-events/. Participants must complete a release form and return to the office in person or via email.
