Community Church

Community Church is a part of the United Methodist Church and shares the Common Lectionary—a three-year cycle of reading the Bible—with many other mainline denominations. In recent years, there has been a shift in the Common Lectionary to accommodate a season of creation. This Sunday, Aug. 4, is the first Sunday of the Season of Creation and the church will be at the Earth.

South Side Jazz will once again perform at Community Church on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 3 p.m. in Edgar Hall at Community Church, located at 14000 Church Place, by the St. Andrews Gate. The patio will be open for dancing.

Sunday worship is at 9:50 a.m., followed by fellowship and light refreshment. Come early for a cup of coffee in the narthex. Services are also available on Facebook or Zoom; people can contact the church office for a Zoom link by calling 562-431-2503.
