Shuffl eboard Club general membership meeting is today, Oct. 10, in CH 2

The general membership meeting of the Shuffleboard Club will be held today, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 2. A Halloween party is in the works for Saturday evening, Oct. 26. Details will follow. Fifteen members gathered for the usual last Friday of the month luncheon at Hof’s Hut in Seal Beach on Sept. 27.

The Friday morning and Tuesday evening leagues of the club are back at it, honing their skills on the court. The fall season brought several new members who have joined leagues and also many members who have indicated they are willing to substitute.

Sept. 27 results: Team Patti handily beat Team Shel 8-4. Team Sally and Team Jack tied 6-6. All game winners were Steve Edrich, Connie Terry and Ellie West.

Oct. 1 results: Team Sally overtook Team Harold 8-4. Team Roger bested Team Karen 8-4. There were a lot of all game winners including Anne Calvo, Sally Fowler, Marlene Levy, Mark Scott, Connie Terry and Bert Thompson.
