Sunshine Club

Arthur Nguyen from Lucent Care and Hospice will give a presentation on the Lucent Companionship program to the Sunshine Club on Friday, July 19, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.

Lucent Companionship is a program of Lucent Care and Hospice in Huntington Beach. It is organized and facilitated under the auspices of Golden Rain Foundation Member Resources Liaison Robann Arshat.

The aim of the program is to provide companionship and address the epidemic of loneliness among the elderly. Although there are many Leisure World programs that offer socialization, there are those who prefer one-on-one interaction, or companionship. Nguyen will provide a detailed explanation on how Lucent Companionship can help seniors at the meeting.

The Sunshine Club asks people to arrive promptly to the meeting. Those who are late are asked to quietly use the back door so as not to disturb the presentation.

All residents are welcome to join this meeting. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees,but donations are welcome. Refreshments will be served. Donations are welcome.

Jennifer Robles and Nathan Caulkin from the City of Seal Beach Recreation Department will speak at the club’s next meeting on Friday, July 26.
