GRF BUS TRIP

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical, “Hadestown” is the Recreation Department’s October GRF bus trip offering at Segerstrom Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The play won eight Tony Awards and as well as Best Musical Theater Album at the Grammy Awards. The musical is a version of an ancient Greek myth combined with modern themes.

The wildly popular Broadway musical tells a version of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eudice. Eurydice, a young girl looking for something to eat, goes to work in a hellish industrial version of the Greek underworld to escape poverty and the cold, and her poor singer-songwriter lover Orpheus comes to rescue her.

Grab a family member or friend and enjoy the evening out being driven and entertained. The bus departs from the Amphitheater parking lot at 6 p.m. for the 7:30 show.

Tickets are $80 per person, which includes the show and transportation. Tickets may be purchased at the Recreation Office, located in Building 5, lower level or online at https:// www.lwsb.com/special-events/. Participants must complete a release form and return to the office in person or via email.
