President’s Column: Did You Know?

Welcome to a resurrected column originally created years ago by former GRF President Linda Stone. This column is intended to inform community members on a variety of topics.

Future columns will briefly describe how our community is governed, the role of the Board of Directors, the difference between the reserve fund, capital fund, and the operating budget, GRF policies, the difference between Mutuals and GRF, how your monthly assessment is allocated, etc.

Did You Know: The 2025 Budget has been reviewed by staff and presented and reviewed by all five GRF committees over the last two months. Recommendations for budgets cuts and opportunities to increase income have been proposed and debated.

The final review of the budgets related to their areas of responsibility will be performed during the October committee meetings.

An important Special Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 4. The sole purpose of this meeting is to approve the 2025 Budget and Reserve Study. We hope you will join us at the meeting, whether in-person or via YouTube livestream.
