On three separate occasions Jesus addressed sinful pride among his disciples. He said “the world’s kings rule over their people, and those who have authority over others are called benefactors. But you, he said, must not be like that. The greatest among you should be like the youngest and the leader should be like the servant. ‘Who’, he asked, ‘is more important, the one sitting at table or the one serving?
