Hui O Hula

Hui O Hula wishes a happy September birthday to dancer Lanny Chen. In 2023, Chen moved into Mutual 2 from New York City shortly after visiting LW stockholder Helen Wu, who is a fellow flight attendant for China Airlines. At the same time, Wu also introduced Chen to Hui O Hula, the LW Hawaiian dance club. Chen claims she is living her best life now that she is near her LA friends.

“I love people and I try to live a happy and healthy ‘second life’ (heart bypass in 2021) in Leisure World. I never had much time learning how to dance, which means it’s my first time learning the hula,” Chen said. “I love it.”

Besides dancing the hula, Chen is an active member and volunteers to help other retired colleagues at China Airlines Association of Southern California.
