Letters to the Editor

Editor:

Linda Fenton, my wife, has a gift for design. During a 42-year career in nursing, she purchased and remodeled homes in New York and Oregon, doing much of the work herself. Now, here in Leisure World, she has designed a remarkably beautiful home.

People have been stopping to admire her design at 1670 Interlachen Road, 43-G , and we wanted to acknowledge our contractor who carried it out in exacting detail. We are grateful to contractor John M. Bergkvist and building inspector Jerry Antisdel.

Since the presidential debate, I have received about 100 requests for donations from my party of record. If I donate, how do I know it goes where I intended? I searched the internet and found an article from the CEO of an internet security company Brandshield, saying “they are stealing peoples’ money and stealing their information. I have seen hundreds of fake media accounts impersonating Biden and Trump.”

If you want to donate, don’t answer that email request. Log into the candidates websites: Biden at htpps://joebidden.com; and Trump at www.donaldtrump.com. Other websites are available for most candidates running for political office. Ensure your money goes where you intended!

A big thank you to the Leisure World Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Samuel Kim, for playing at the recent Life Options Expo. It was definitely hot that Saturday, and part of the orchestra, as well as Dr. Kim, were situated in the direct sun throughout the performance.

But the orchestra was stellar, as always. Also, thank you to resident and world-renowned pianist Yuri Lotakov, who played with the orchestra.
