Next tabletop games will be Aug. 16
LW WOMANS CLUB
The LW Womans Club upcoming luncheon fundraiser will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, in Clubhouse 2. This year’s theme is a Mardi Gras celebration. Each ticket includes a catered buffet luncheon, raffles, and entertainment by a magician. Doors open at 11 a.m. to view prizes and speak with the Woman’s Club sponsors. The dining area will open at 11:30 and lunch will be served at noon.
Bus service will be available between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets are $40 each and available from Jan Kuhl by calling 562-446-0082.
Dress code is country club casual or theme -appropriate outfits. The next tabletop games will be held Friday, Aug. 16, in Clubhouse 2 from noon-4 p.m. Members and friends are welcome to
WOMANS CLUB, page 14 bring and/or join any game they enjoy, such as Canasta, Rummikub, bridge, Mexican Train, Scrabble or any other game. Everyone is asked to donate $1 at the door to help support the Woman’s Club philanthropies. Refreshments are served.
The tabletop games on Friday, Sept. 20, are cancelled due to the Woman’s Club fundraiser on Sept. 21. Games will resume on the third Friday of every month from Oct.18-June 2025.
People can pay their annual membership dues of $25 to Membership Chair Kathy Russell at the tabletop games. Checks should be made to The Woman’s Club of Leisure World; cash is also accepted.
