Garden plot waitlist available online

COMMUNITY GARDENS

The Recreation Department has mailed letters to qualifying authorized residents indicating they have received a spot in the new Community Garden.

People who received a letter and want to claim their spot should go to the Recreation Office, located in Building 5, to complete the required paperwork. There are also ADA spots available, on a first-come, first-served basis.

People who received the letter and want to decline the spot, should contact the Recreation Department as soon as possible so staff can pass it along to another resident.

Office hours for the garden applications are Monday-Wednesday from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and Thursday: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

To be added to the waitlist, go to the Leisure World website, www.lwsb.com. Find the Community tab, then choose Community Garden Waitlist and complete the online form. Those with questions can contact Julie O’Brien at minifarm@lwsb.com or call 562-431-6586, ext. 2314.
