Free event will adjust vehicles to maximize safety

FREE DRIVER PROGRAM

CarFit will host a free, interactive and educational program designed to improve older driver safety today, July 25, from 9 a.m.-noon at Rush Park, 3021 Blume Drive, Rossmoor.

Trained volunteers provide information to ensure the safest “fit” for older drivers and their vehicles. Technicians will help people adjust their steering wheel position, mirrors and more. The program is meant to improve safety, promote proper positioning, improve comfort while driving and provide individualized recommendations to drivers.

The event is sponsored by CarFit, AAA, AARP, the American Occupational Therapy Association, American Career College and the Rossmoor Community Services District.
