Congregation Sholom

Congregation Sholom will hold services via Zoom with Rabbi Eric Dangott on Friday, July 5, at 6:30 p.m. Cantor Marla Barugel will lead the hybrid service on Saturday, July 6, in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, and Zoom at 10 a.m. Saturday’s Torah reading will be Korach from the book of Numbers. Parashat Korach recounts the rebellion of Korach (a cousin of Moses and Aaron), Dathan, Abiram, and 250 of their followers. Some rebels are swallowed by the ground, while others are consumed by a fire from God and others die in a plague. The portion ends by describing gifts given to priests and Levites. The theater trip to see “The Addams Family: The Musical” at the Long Beach Playhouse will be on Sunday, July 7, at 2 p.m. The annual summer picnic will be held on Sunday, July 21.
