Assembly of God

Trying to view a beautiful vacation vista through sunglasses smeared with sunscreen is frustrating, as is trying to read through smudged reading glasses. When the clarity of the lens is compromised, the image being viewed is obscured. Matthew 5:8, part of the scripture known as “The Beatitudes,” speaks about purity of heart in relation to being able to see God. Pastor Chuck Fraco’s sermon at LW Assembly of God will focus on how purity of heart enables one to see God clearly on Sunday, June 30.

The Wednesday morning class is studying “Hebrews,” a video series by Derwin Gray. Session four’s topic is “Moving Toward Maturity.” Just because a person grows older doesn’t mean they gain maturity, just as being a Christian for a long time doesn’t guarantee one’s growth toward being Christlike. The video session is followed by class interaction and discussion, moderated by Pastor Chuck. This study aims to bring refreshment and hope as Christians rediscover who Jesus is and the impact a vibrant relationship with him can have on one’s life.
