LW Orchestra to perform June 28
LIFE OPTIONS EXPO
The Leisure World Community Orchestra will perform at GRF’s annual Life Options Expo, on Friday, June 28 ( see more information about the expo on page 1.) The orchestra will begin playing at 11 a.m. near the gazebo outside Veterans Plaza, located near Clubhouse 3.
The event will finish off what has been a busy month for the orchestra. On June 1, the orchestra performed its annual spring concert in Clubhouse 4, where they shared the stage with the Leisure World Korean Community Church Choir.
On June 4, the orchestra showed its appreciation for the Leisure World Woman’s Club by performing a thank-you concert. The club donated $500 to the orchestra in January.
After the busy season the orchestra is taking the summer off. It will resume its regular rehearsals on Sept. 10. During its season, the orchestra rehearses Tuesdays and Wednesdays at noon on the Amphitheater stage. The orchestra always welcomes new members.
