Mutual 8 has a number of butterfly gardens in old tree wells, featuring the California Matilija Poppy, which is the largest flower of all of California's na - tive plants. The plant can reach from 6-8 feet high and wide so it needs a large space to grow. It is very drought tolerant needing little to no water once established. It is located in front of building 184 in Mutual 8.
