At the Monday Pool League on April 3, the standings tightened up as the Cue Crew beat In the Money 9-4 This cut In the Money's league lead over PPJ to only two games. Gary Monahan had a big night for the Cue Crew winning six games and only losing his nine ball match. Teammates Bruce Pettys and Shery Wells each won five games.

Right on Cue edged PPJ 7-6, with Linda Patton and Frank Sablan winning four games and the team winning the final eight ball match. The Rail Runners moved up with a 9-4 win over the Renegades. Dennis Bedford and Guta Basner each won six of their seven games for the Rail Runners.

In the Wednesday league the Ruffians stretched their league to four games with an 8-5 win over Bank It. Paul Ivanoff subbed for the Ruffians and won six games, including both of his singles matches.

Triple Threat kept pace with the Ruffians by beating Milly’s Boys 8-5. Triple Threat’s “A” player Steve Edrich won six games and both of his singles matches. Singles wins are considered more of a yardstick to measure a player’s ability than their record in doubles play.

The Favorites edged U3 7-6, by winning the final eight-ball game. Connie Adkins won six of her seven games to lead the Favorites, who were only four points behind the league leading Ruffians.
