Next used car lot will be Oct. 23

Leisure World residents can usually sell used vehicles in the Administration parking lot from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on the fourth Saturdays of the month. But this month, the lot is being paved so the sale is canceled. The next date the lot will be open is Oct. 23.

Vehicles must have current DMV registrations and GRF decals and be insured. In addition to cars, motorhomes, motorcycles, golf carts, bikes, trikes and scooters may be sold.

Only LW residents are allowed to sell vehicle, but the lot is open to residents and the guests they call in.

Optum at the Health Care Center will have its second annual drive-through clinic, and to help keep everyone safe, people are required to wear masks. The clinic will be held in the Clubhouse 4 parking lot on Thursday, Oct. 14, between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be signs and personnel to guide traffic. Cars should use the north entrance (see the yellow lines on the map). People on scooters, bikes, shuttles and golf carts, and pedestrians will get their shots at tables in front of Clubhouse 4 ( see the red lines on the map). People should exit onto Northwood Road once they receive their shots.
