LET THE GOOD TIMES RESUME

The Golden Age Foundation has reopened the ever-popular Hospitality Center in Clubhouse 6 on weekdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m., including holidays. Everyone is welcome to join these happy residents (above) for a cup of coffee, a couple of cookies and lots of conversation. The GAF has just kicked off a membership and donation drive. For more information, see page 15. The GAF is LW's very

own, customized, philanthropic organization with 100 percent of donations going back into specialized community programs and services. These include free annual tax help, a quarterly shredding service, battery recyling, and the free loan of mobility aids, including walkers of every type. The GAF had volunteers at all the GRF-Optum COVID-19 vaccination clinics, helped staff telephone centers to schedule vaccinations for LW residents and contributed thousands of dollars to Long Beach Meals on Wheels to provide subsidized meals for LWers during the pandemic. It also funded a mask campaign that provided thousands of free masks to GRF staffers and LW residents, among many other acts of service.
