Energy Facility Emergency Notification Test
Beginning today, Aug. 29, AES Alamitos will conduct monthly testing of its emergency notification system, which is intended for personnel working onsite at the Alamitos Energy Facility.
The test will occur the last Thursday of each month at noon for approximately two minutes and will consist of various tones, alarms and recorded messages.
“We do not expect the sound volume of the notification system to travel beyond the plant; however, if you hear alarms and/or messages, please keep in mind that this is only a test,” AES spokesperson Monica Garcia said.
