Orange County Fire Authority Chief Craig Covey will speak to the Sunshine Club on Friday, April 18, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m., to talk about Battery Safety All residents are welcome to join. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are welcome. “It’s not just me helping the animals. It’s helping the humans too.” Long Beach resident Dina Michelle says she has a calling for matching people with pets needing forever homes. Her nonprofit organization, Wild Branch Rescue, has matched dogs and cats of all ages and sizes to Leisure World residents. “It’s such a special community here, it makes it a great place for animals,”
