North Gate Road and pedestrian gate closed


405 PARTNERS PROJECT North Gate Road will be closed until further notice due to sewer construction that is part of the OC 405 Partners Project. The pedestrian gate that exits Leisure World from Northwood Road to North Gate Road will be closed as well. An eight-foot fence will be installed just east of the Frontier building during the project to replace a sewer line on North Gate Road.

LW ANNIVERSARY Jay and Connie Young were married on July 25, 1953. Jay sometimes wonders how a preacher’s kid, born in Hollywood, California, could marry a farmer’s daughter from South Dakota. They met at the University of Redlands in 1951. Jay was a star basketball player and Connie was the head song girl and cheerleader. Jay says the success of their marriage can be attributed to
