New player Pat Paternoster joined 12 men of the Leisure World Golf League on Jan. 3 at the Riverview Golf Course in Santa Ana. Since the Santa Ana River runs through the middle of the course, the recent heavy rains made crossing it dangerous and the back nine unreachable because of high water levels. Combined Bridge Party has been canceled for Jan. 14 because of the rapid spread of the omicron variant of COVID-19. The club encourages everyone to stay home and safe.
