The AARP Tax-Aide Program sponsored by the Golden Age Foundation (GAF) begins Monday, March 8. Volunteers will prepare and e-file returns on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings. All appointments have been filled. More than 260 appointments were made, fewer than in a normal 10-week tax season. AMENITIES UPDATE Turtle Lake Golf Course, operating on Pacific Standard Time since October, will switch to the daylight saving time schedule, effective March 14. 405 Freeway Improvement Project

The Orange County Transportation Authority, in cooperation with Caltrans, is widening the San Diego Freeway (I-405) between SR-73 and I-605.The project is improving 16 miles of I-405 between the SR-73 freeway in Costa Mesa and I-605 near the Los Angeles County line.
