The annual Filipino Association of Leisure World’s veterans picnic will be held on Saturday, July 6, at noon at the Clubhouse 1 picnic area. Last years’ celebration was one of club’s most attended events, with close to 250 veterans and their guests. OUR BEAUTIFUL LW Mutual 8 has a number of butterfly gardens in old tree wells, featuring the California Matilija Poppy, which is the largest flower of all of California's na - tive plants. The plant can reach from 6-8 feet high and wide so it needs a large space to grow. It is very drought tolerant needing little to no water once established. It is located in front of building 184 in
