The Leisure World Radio Club's Emergency van goes for a monthly road test. If the community's infrastructure were in any jeopardy, the radio-equipped van would be in action. You can view a "Club Close Up" video segment on the Radio Club this month on SBTV/Ch 3 (Spectrum) and Ch 37 (Frontier). The TV schedule is posted in the LW Weekly and on SBTV3.org.

by Christine Harris Mutual 2 Landscape Chair On Aug. 30, Mutual 2 became the first mutual in Leisure World to have an official, registered and certified Monarch Waystation—that’s a habitat providing the necessary resources for monarchs during their breeding and migration seasons. The beautiful byway located on Monterey Road by Building 14 along the Westminster wall was certified by MonarchWatch.org.

Bring expired prescriptions to Main Gate from 10-2 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., the Seal Beach Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its 19th opportunity in nine years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
