Seven bold golfers from the Leisure World Men’s Golf League met at the par-71 Meadowlark Golf Course in Huntington Beach on March 6. This round was played in between rainstorms on a notusual Thursday due to a tournament on the normal Friday playing date. The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets every Wednesday in Clubhouse 3, Room 5, from 1-4 p.m. New members of all skill levels are welcome. The club met on March 12, 18 and 26. The members combined for 19 scores above 300 and nine bingos (the use of all seven tiles in one move). Diane Seeger and Sylvia Makus each posted four scores above 300. Seeger had three bingos and a best game of 369.
