Club will install orange safety . ags

ROLLIN' THUNDER GOLF CART CLUB
Volunteers from the Rollin’ Thunder Golf Cart Club will install bright orange safety flags on residents’ small motorized and unmotorized vehicles on Tuesday, April 29, from 10 a.m.-noon in front of Clubhouse 6.
The free program is sponsored by the Golden Age Foundation, which purchased the flags.
People who would like a flag must drive or bring their vehicles to Clubhouse 6 to have them installed. The flags can be attached to golf carts, scooters, bikes, trikes, motorized wheelchairs and more. Pick-ups of flags only are not permitted. GRF ID is required.
The purpose of these brightly colored pennants is to increase visibility and safety. The flags are often attached to an antenna or pole and help alert drivers and pedestrians of the vehicle’s presence, especially in situations where the vehicle might be partially obscured.
The height of the flag makes the vehicle more noticeable, and thus reduces the chance of an accident or collision. Orange flags have already been installed on a large number of golf carts and mobility devices. The last time the GAF provided free flags was in 2022.
