Caltrans: Lane closures for PCH paving to end mid-May

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) began work in Seal Beach along State Route 1 (SR-1), also known as Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), on April 7.

Work includes pavement rehabilitation along the corridor starting at the Long Beach/Seal Beach city limits moving south towards the Huntington Beach/Seal Beach city limits.

Construction will continue until Tuesday, May 13, barring inclement weather or delays. Work will generally be conducted on weeknights from 10 p.m.-6 a.m.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with no-parking along PCH, and occasional side street detours. Drivers should observe all posted traffic control and construction notifications. For more information, contact Sheilah Fortenberry at 949-969-5055 or email sheilah.fortenberry@dot.co.gov.
