LW Library unveils lineup of bestselling authors

The LW Library is excited to announce its upcoming slate of authors who will be visiting Leisure World to speak with interested readers. From May to October, the library will host five different authors.

On May 9, Christopher Reich will speak about his New York Times best-selling thriller and espionage books, including his latest, “Matterhorn.”

On June 6, Sheila Yasmin Marikar will speak about her latest drama-filled novel, “Friends in Napa.”

On July 11, Jo Perry will speak about her “Ascher Lieb Investigates” series for fans of literary mysteries.

On Aug. 8, author and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and director Nicholas Meyer will join residents to speak about his latest Sherlock Holmes pastiche novels, “The Telegram from Hell” and “The Real Thing.”

On Oct. 3, journalist Stephen Witt will speak about his latest nonfiction work, “The Thinking Machine,” which details the rise of artificial intelligence chip manufacturer Nvidia.

A selection of books from each author is available to borrow from the library.

People are welcome to pick up reminder slips with a list of all the events for their calendars when they stop by.

Excluding Sheila Yasmin Marikar’s presentation, which will be held at Veterans Plaza, all other talks will be held at Clubhouse 4. All programs begin at 11 a.m.

Following each presentation, there will be a short questionand- answer session, and then, the author will be available to sign books.

Refreshments will also be provided to those in attendance while supplies last.

Books will be available for purchase.
