Learn how to save a life at final CPR class

The Leisure World Emergency Information Council (EIC) is offering onsite American Heart Association certified CPR and First Aid classes. The last scheduled CPR class will be held April 5 from 9 a.m.-noon in Clubhouse 3, Room 3.
An important element in being self-sufficient and “On Your Own” during an emergency is having up-to-date life-saving knowledge and skills.
The EIC has partnered with expereinced firefighter and paramedic Marc Woodward, owner of Prime CPR Services, to provide hands-on training with real life exercises and simulations that provide a realistic learning experience.
People will learn the basics of what to do during medical emergencies and how to address injuries. Afterward, students will learn how to perform CPR alone and with others, how to use an AED and how to help a choking victim.
All are invited to sign up. There is a limit of 12 students per class with a minimum of 10 students needed for each class. The fee for each class is $40. Students who want a Red Cross certification card must pay an additional fee.
Reservations must be made a week in advance by contacting EIC President Jackie Dunagan at 562-431-7479 or jackie919@gmail.com. —Jackie Dunagan
