The Democratic Club will join the LW Seniors For Peace Club in sponsoring a demonstration in support of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid in front of the globe on Saturday, April 5 from 3-4:30 p.m. Volunteers are also welcomed to make signs for the protest on April 4 from 1-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 4.

The Democratic Club’s popular hospitality and voter information booth, located in the parking lot outside Clubhouse 6, will be open from 10:30 a.m.12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1. Democrats and supporters are invited to stop by to express their concerns, as well as support for the volunteers who staff the booth.

The club’s next informal gettogether, the Lunch Bunch, will be at the Hof ’s Hut Restaurant & Bakery on Wednesday, April 2, at 11:30 a.m. New members are especially encouraged to attend. No reservations are required. For more information, email debbiewrathall@mac.com.

The club’s next monthly Voter Education session will be on Wednesday, April 16, in Clubhouse 3, Room 3 at 1 p.m. Advance registrations are not required, although participation is limited by the size of the room. Email beverleybender@gmail. com for more information.

The next SBLW Democratic Club membership meeting will be on Wednesday, April 23, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2 at 1:30 p.m. All LW democrats and supporters can arrive as early as 12:30 to socialize with other like-minded residents. In response to concerns expressed by both the board and club members, the LW Democratic club’s board now has two new task forces. In order to foster transparency, the board has authorized the Strategic Planning Task Force to facilitate the publication of all board and membership adopted policies and procedures on the club’s website.

One of the Membership Involvement Task Force’s preliminary responsibility will be to identify and work with club members interested in participating with board members in addressing the club’s day-to-day activities.
