The following is the Security incident report for the month of February.
FIRE:5
•Feb. 5, 7:16 a.m., Mutual 6
A lamp post began to smoke due to electrical short. There was no fire,and the lamp post was repaired.
•Feb. 13, 2:51 p.m., Mutual 1
A resident smelled smoke and called for assistance. The resident had left burning toast in oven; no fire or damage.
• Feb. 21,11:30 a.m., Clubhouse 6
An unknown person used metal inside of a microwave, causing smoke to appear.
•Feb. 27, 1:21 a.m., Mutual 3
A resident stated he smelled smoke. There was no smoke, fire or smoke alarm activation detected.
•Feb. 8, 9:03 a.m., Clubhouse 4
A kiln caught fire, leaving burn and smoke marks inside the kiln.
MISDEMEANOR THEFT: 6 (less than $950 in value)

A caregiver stated she lost her purse while riding her bicycle.
•Feb. 13, 1:57 p.m., Mutual 1
An unknown person removed a heart-shaped stone from a resident’s garden area.
•Feb. 15, 8:15 a.m., Mutual 1
A resident could not locate her purse.

A resident observed an unknown person digging up plants from a planter and fleeing the scene.

A resident stated an unknown person in December 2024 removed her garden hose and two bushes.
•Feb. 28, 9:03 a.m., Clubhouse 4
An unknown person removed a grinder from the Lapidary Room.
VANDALISM: 2

A resident found scratches and damage to her vehicle and stated the roofing vendor was to blame.
• Feb. 24, 12:19 p.m., Mutual 11
A resident stated an unknown person let the air out of one of her vehicle’s tires in the carport.

•Feb. 20, 11:19 a.m., Mutual 1
A resident was advised of a barking dog issue and noise complaints.
•Feb. 24, 1:13 p.m., Mutual 1
Ongoing issue with barking dog. Security issued a dog citation.
•Feb. 25, 8:26 a.m., Mutual 1
Ongoing issue with barking dog/neighbor dispute. Security kept the peace.
•Feb. 26, 8:48 a.m., Mutual 5
A resident complained about a dog barking next door. Security heard the dog barking upon arrival and left a pet citation notice for the owner.

•Feb. 7, 2:12 p.m., Main Gate
A resident struck a stop sign with a vehicle while entering the gate.
•Feb. 11, 11 a.m., Thunderbird Road and Merion Way A resident in a moving vehicle struck a parked vehicle.
•Feb. 17, 3:56 p.m., Mutual 10
A resident reported a golf cart was driving too quickly on sidewalk.
•Feb. 18, 8:01 p.m., 13520 El Dorado Road A visitor driving struck a parked vehicle. Seal Beach police were called, and the driver was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI)
•Feb. 26, 12:54 p.m., St. Andrews Drive and Golden Rain Road Hit and run incident in the intersection.
NOISE COMPLAINTS: 4
Feb. 1, 6:53 p.m., Amphitheater
A resident was practicing saxophone in the Amphitheater and stopped practicing once advised of a noise complaint.
•Feb. 4, 1:18 a.m., Mutual 8
A resident complained of loud talking in neighboring unit. Security heard the voices, and went to the neighboring unit to advise residents.
•Feb. 4, 6:48 a.m., Mutual 3
A resident complained of loud TV noise. Security advised the neighbor, who reduced the volume.
•Feb. 15, 3:53 a.m., Mutual 8 Ongoing complaint of noise in neighboring unit. No noise detected at the scene.

A resident complained of the process regarding receiving a Security report.

An unknown person left a pair of men’s underwear on a resident’s patio.

A resident stated a neighbor was showing anti-social behavior; no issue found.

A person was observed walking around buildings. The person was caregiver at a nearby unit and was advised of community rules.

Ongoing dispute over use of the pool room.

A resident shared possible criminal activity issues with Security and was advised to contact the police.

Security assisted a Mutual president with an unauthorized occupant.

An unauthorized person was observed near the Amphitheater and was escorted out of the community.

Security assisted with towing a vehicle.

A resident and vendor were in a disagreement over payment. Security kept the peace.

A resident reported people in her residence. No one was found.

Ongoing dispute regarding

Residents were in a dispute over possession of cell phone.

Security assisted with parking issue inside the carport.

Security advised a resident regarding political signs in the common area.

A resident and neighbor were in dispute over a smell coming from the neighbor’s unit.
