Gardens will be venue for Earth Day celebration

COMMUNITY GARDENS

On Tuesday, April 22, in celebration of Earth Day, the Recreation Department will host a garden party in the Leisure World Community Gardens from 1-4 p.m. Join friends and neighbors for food, music, activities, games and prizes.

There will also be a food drive benefiting the Orange County Food Bank. Raffle tickets will be given to people who donate nonperishable, unexpired food items.

Spots at the Community Gardens are still available for immediate lease. First, fill out an application by going to the Leisure World website, lwsb.com. Find the Community Tab and select the Community Garden Waitlist. Applicants will receive a letter with their assigned spot.
