On Sunday, March 9, LW Baptist Church will explore what the Bible means by Christian love at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 4. The love chapter of the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13, actually defines this love. A congregation’s understanding of love grows by reading what Scripture says true love looks like. “Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous . . . Love never fails.”

An illuminating, and usually humorous insight comes when people substitute their names in place of the word love in the description. Richer insight comes by substituting Jesus’ name in place of the word love. The Apostle John explained the connection when he wrote, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
