Residents are encouraged to participate in ensuring the continued safety and serenity of Leisure World by reporting any and all incidents to GRF Security. Incidents of all kinds, including verbal disputes, noise complaints, petty theft, traffic concerns and suspicious persons can be reported 24/7 by calling 562-594-4754. Residents are not required to provide their personal information, and can choose to remain anonymous.

“Our residents are another extra set of eyes that assist greatly in the security of our community,” said GRF Security Director Victor Rocha. “Everyone knows the phrase, ‘when you see something, say something,’ but when put into practice it can enhance the safety of Leisure World.”

Reporting one-time or ongoing incidents allows GRF Security to track trends over time and identify problem areas.

“Some residents are reluctant to call because they are worried that they might call and there is no issue—no problem. We would much rather be on the safe side and find out a possible unauthorized visitor actually lives in Leisure World than to possibly have someone who does not belong to remain inside the community,” Rocha said. The same applies to other incidents that may appear unimportant at the time, but can be used to reveal broader trends in the community.

Monthly incident reports are published in the LW Weekly and do not contain any identifying information about the individuals involved.
