Community Karaoke Club

Karaoke singers surprise themselves with how much fun they have singing on stage and being applauded by their friends. On Feb. 19, Essie Hicks showed some flair while singing the beautiful “Songbird.”
Tony Tupas had a smooth style with “New Kid in Town.” Dorothy Ferrington, Ray Geierman and Karen Morris have a good time singing happy tunes. Sally Glausser loves showtunes, and Julie Nulad favors pop songs from the ‘60s. Eileen Merritt teamed with Bob Barnum singing a showtune “Shallow.” Anna Lam used her powerful voice to sing “Light My Fire.”
The club’s Monday practice sessions allow singers to find their key range or selection of a rendition. It’s an ideal time to try karaoke singing for the first time. Sessions are held weekly in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m. Karaoke songbooks give a broad selection of songs. All are welcome to join the fun on Wednesday evenings from 5:309:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 1.
